Augustus Cookingham

Augustus was born in 1816 in Horton, Michigan, USA.¹ Augustus' father was John P Cookingham and his mother was Hannah Vail. His maternal grandparents were Israel I Vail and Eleanor DeLong. He had three brothers and six sisters, named Michael, Israel, Martin, Lavina, Mary Ann, Phebe, Rachel, Nancy and Diana. He is the fifth oldest of the ten children.
