John Babcock 
John was born on July 26th, 1765 in No Stonington, New London, Connecticut, USA.1 John's father was Timothy Babcock and his mother was Thankful Read. His paternal grandparents were James Babcock and Sarah Vose; his maternal grandparents were John Reid and Lydia Caswell. He had three brothers and three sisters, named James, John Read, Robert G, Sarah, Anne and Louisa M. He was the third oldest of the seven children. He had two half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Timothy, Jesse, Lois, Grace and Desire. He died at the age of 40 on April 24th, 1806.1 -
