James Babcock 
James was born on July 5th, 1770 in No Stonington, New London, Connecticut, USA.1 James' father was Timothy Babcock and his mother was Thankful Read. His paternal grandparents were James Babcock and Sarah Vose; his maternal grandparents were John Reid and Lydia Caswell. He had three brothers and three sisters, named John, John Read, Robert G, Sarah, Anne and Louisa M. He was the fourth oldest of the seven children. He had two half-brothers and three half-sisters, named Timothy, Jesse, Lois, Grace and Desire. He died at the age of 84 in 1854 in Alexandria, New York, USA.1 -
