John York 
John was born on February 2nd, 1772 in Randolph County, North Carolina. John's father was Semore York and his mother was Sylvania L Aldredge. His paternal grandparents were Jeremiah York and Sarah Seymour; his maternal grandparents were William Ezekial Aldridge and Elizabeth Symons. He had seven brothers and four sisters, named Jeremiah, William Alfred, Jabez, Shubal, Jesse, Isaac H., Semore, Sarah Rachel, Nancy Dorcas, Martha and Tabitha. He died at the age of 87 on September 3rd, 1859 in Randolph County, North Carolina. He was buried on September 16th, 1859 in Giles Chapel Methodist Church Cemetary, Cedar Falls, Randolph, NC.-
