Nicholas had a land grant from Lord Calvert in Anne Arundel County, Maryland, dated 20 August 1680 "...300 acres surveyed for Nicholas Aldridge...on south side of Maggoty River...called Aldridge's Beginning..." (Maryland Historical Magazine, volume 26, page 273)
