Earl Archibald Douglas

Archibald was born in 1297 in Douglas, Lanarkshire, Scotland. Archibald's father was William ("le Hardi") de Douglas and his mother was Elizabeth Stewart. His paternal grandfather was William ("Long Legs") de Douglas and his paternal grandmother is Martha de Bruce; his maternal grandfather was High Steward Alexander Stewart of Scotland and his maternal grandmother is Heiress Jean Macrory of Arran & Bute. He had a brother and a sister, named "The Black Douglas"; "Good Sir James" and Muriel. He was the youngest of the three children. He died due to died in battle of Haliden Hil at the age of 36 on July 19th, 1333 in Haliden Hill, Northumberland, England.
