Benjamin was born in 1787. Benjamin's father was Benjamin Robbins and his mother was Sarah Wells. His paternal grandparents were Arthur Robbins and Mary Penelope Sellers; his maternal grandparents are Daniel Wells and Polly Bostick. He had six brothers and two sisters, named Soloman, Solomon, Benjamin, Danial A., Daniel Arter, Joel, Mary and Eliza.-
