Sarah was born in 1684 in New Kent, VA, USA.1 Sarah's father was William Hunter and her mother was Rebecca Besse. Her paternal grandfather is Nicholas Hunter; her maternal grandparents were Anthony Besse and Jane Beme. She had two brothers and a sister, named Elisha, Jonathan and Rebecca.
