William Hubbard 
William was born in 1762 in Cheraw District, Marlboro, SC, USA.1 William's father was Peter Hubbard and his mother was Agnes Chiles. His paternal grandparents were John Hubbard Jr. and Mary Harrison; his maternal grandparents were Manoah Chiles and Anne Cheadle. He had four brothers and a sister, named John Carraway, William, Peter Hubbard, Manoah and Elizabeth. He was the second youngest of the six children. He died at the age of 96 on January 11th, 1858 in Pickens, SC, USA.1 General Notes

ts per annum to commence on the 4th day of March 1831.
Certificate of Pension was issued the 17th day of May 33 and Sent Van A. L
awhorn Anderson C. H. S. Carolina.

State of South Carolina
District of Anderson, SC
On this the 25th day of November AD one thousand eight hundred and fifty f
ive personally appeared before me a magistrate within and for the distri
ct and State aforesaid William Hubbard aged in his ninety fourth year a re
sident of said district and State who being duly sworn according to law de
clares that he is the identical William Hubbard who was a private in the c
ompany commanded by Captain Cammel that from extreme old age and conseque
nt deficiency of memory he cannot tell the number of the Regiment or his C
olonel's name in the Revolutionary War. That he volunteered in Gilford Cou
nty State of North Carolina in the month of Dec AD 1777 for term of thr
ee months and continued in actual service in said War for the term of thr
ee months and was honorably discharged at Charleston on or about the ten
th that he subsequently served two other tours in the said War which servi
ces are all accounted for and attached in a declaration for a pension und
er the act of 7th June 1832 for which he obtained a pension certificate f
or life dated the 17th day of May 1833 and as well as can now be ascertain
ed Numbered 3425.
He makes this declaration for the purpose of obtaining the Bounty La
nd to which he may be entitled under the act approved on the 3d day of Mar
ch AD 1855. He also declares that he has not applied for nor received a
ny bounty Land warrant under this or any other act of Congress. .

wing declaration in order to obtain the benefit of the act of Congress pas
sed June 7, 1832
The deponent was born in Halifax County Virginia and moved to Guilford Cou
nty North Carolina when very young not recollecting the time
