Joseph Clifford was born on December 23rd, 1893 in East Mill Creek, Salt Lake, Utah. Joseph Clifford's father was John Henry OSGUTHORPE and his mother was Mary Magdalene Garn. His paternal grandparents were John Osguthorpe and Lydia ROPER; his maternal grandparents were Daniel Garn and Mahala Garn. He had five brothers and five sisters, named John Henry, Edgar, George Osmond, Arthur, Delbert, Mary Edna, Emma, Lydia Mahala (Mae), Gladys Evelyn and Selina. He is the fifth youngest of the eleven children.-
