Her paternal grandparents were John Garn and Susanna Pringle; her maternal grandparents were Phillip James Garn or Gern and Mary Magdalene Fought. She had four brothers and two sisters, named Benjamin, Philip James, William Franklin, Jacob Moroni, Lucy and Fanny Mahala. She was the third oldest of the seven children. She died at the age of 78 on August 27th, 1940 in East Mill Creek, Salt Lake, Utah. She was buried in Elysian Gardens, Salt Lake City, Slk, Ut.-
