Phillip James Garn or Gern 
Phillip James was born on May 1st, 1819 in St. Clair, Bedford, Pa. Phillip James' father was John Garn and his mother was Susanna Pringle. His paternal grandparents were John Garn and Margaret Lein; his maternal grandparents are William Pringle and Mary Wertz. He had seven brothers and five sisters, named Jacob, Daniel, Samuel, John, Joseph Ickes, David, Martin, Margaret Rebecca, Christena, Elizabeth, Mary and Susan. He was the youngest of the thirteen children. He died at the age of 39 on January 18th, 1859 in Centerville, Davis, Ut. He was buried in January 1859 in Salt Lake City C, Salt Lake City, S.L., Ut.-
