Joseph Ickes Garn 
Joseph Ickes was born on March 19th, 1809 in St. Clair Twp, Bedfrd, Pa. Joseph Ickes' father was John Garn and his mother was Susanna Pringle. His paternal grandparents were John Garn and Margaret Lein; his maternal grandparents are William Pringle and Mary Wertz. He had seven brothers and five sisters, named Jacob, Daniel, Samuel, John, David, Martin, Phillip James, Margaret Rebecca, Christena, Elizabeth, Mary and Susan. He was the fifth youngest of the thirteen children. He died at the age of 87 on August 24th, 1896.-
