WILLIAM I 'THE CONQUERER' was born on October 14th, 1028 in FALAISE, NORMANDY.1   WILLIAM I 'THE CONQUERER''s father was ROBERT II 'THE DEVIL' Duke Of Normandy and his mother was HERLEVE (HARLETTE) De FALAISE.  His paternal grandparents were RICHARD II 'THE GOOD' Duke Of Normandy and JUDITH Duchess Of Brittany; his maternal grandparents are FULBERT 'THE TANNER' De FALAISE and DODA (DODE DUXIA) Concubine Of Fulbert. He had a sister named ADELIZA.  He was the older of the two children. He had two half-brothers and two half-sisters, named ODO (EUDES), ROBERT, EMMA and MURIEL.  He died at the age of 58 on September 7th, 1087 in HERMANTRUBE, NEAR ROUEN, FRANCE.1

‌WILLIAM I 'THE CONQUERER' and MATHILDA (MAUD) were married in a religious ceremony in 1053 in CATHEDRAL NOTRE DAME D'EU, NORMANDY.2   They had four sons and six daughters, named ROBERT II 'CURTHOSE', RICHARD, WILLIAM II 'RUFUS', HENRY I 'BEAUCLERC', CECILIA, ADELIZA, CONSTANCE, AGATHA, MATHILDA and ADELA.
