EMMA was born in 1031 in CONTEVILLE, FRANCE.¹   EMMA's father was HERLEVIN De CONTEVILLE and her mother was HERLEVE (HARLETTE) De FALAISE.  Her paternal grandfather is Jean De Conteville; her maternal grandparents are FULBERT 'THE TANNER' De FALAISE and DODA (DODE DUXIA) Concubine Of Fulbert. She had two brothers and a sister, named ODO (EUDES), ROBERT and MURIEL.  She is the oldest of the four children. She had a half-brother and a half-sister, named WILLIAM I 'THE CONQUERER' and ADELIZA.
