MATHILDA (MAUD) was born in 1032 in FLANDERS.1   MATHILDA (MAUD)'s father was BALDWIN V 'THE PIOUS' Count Of Flanders and her mother was ADELAIDE (ADELA ALIX) Princess Of France.  Her paternal grandparents were BALDWIN IV 'FAIR BEARD' Count Of Flanders and OGIVE De LUXEMBOURG; her maternal grandparents were ROBERT II "THE PIOUS" King Of France and CONSTANCE De TOULOUSE. She had two brothers named BALDWIN and ROBERT I 'THE FRISIAN'.  She was the second oldest of the three children. She had two half-brothers named WILLIAM I and ROBERT.  She died at the age of 51 on November 3rd, 1083 in CAEN, CALVADOS, FRANCE.1

‌MATHILDA (MAUD) and WILLIAM I 'THE CONQUERER' were married in a religious ceremony in 1053 in CATHEDRAL NOTRE DAME D'EU, NORMANDY.2   They had four sons and six daughters, named ROBERT II 'CURTHOSE', RICHARD, WILLIAM II 'RUFUS', HENRY I 'BEAUCLERC', CECILIA, ADELIZA, CONSTANCE, AGATHA, MATHILDA and ADELA.
