Jacob was born in 1675 in Freetown, Bristol, MA. Jacob's father was John Hathaway and his mother was Hannah Anna Burt. His paternal grandparents were John Hathaway and Martha Shephard; his maternal grandparents were James Burt and Mrs. Anna Burt. He had four brothers and five sisters, named John, Isaac, Ephraim, Thomas, Martha, Hannah, Abigail, Sarah and Experience. He was the fourth oldest of the ten children. He died at the age of 84 on February 6th, 1759 in Taunton, Bristol, MA.-
