Cecil Floyd was born on November 1st, 1908 in Bell Co.,Texas.1 Cecil Floyd's father was Perry Monroe Underwood and his mother was LeaNora Gregory. His paternal grandparents were Lewis J. Underwood and Mary Jane Warren; his maternal grandparents were William Henry Gregory and Amanda Texana Graham. He had four brothers and six sisters, named Charles Walter, Thomas R., Frankie, Arthur James, Ermine, Lois, Rosa Lee, Hazel, Ruby and Aileen. He was the fifth youngest of the eleven children.
