John Jefferson ,Dr. was born on June 2nd, 1836 in Jefferson Co.,Georgia.  John Jefferson ,Dr.'s father is Hardy Battle ,Jr. Gregory and his mother is Irene Elizabeth Hudson.  His paternal grandparents are Hardy Battle Gregory and UNKNOWN Unknown.  He was an only child.  He died at the age of 45 on March 23rd, 1882 in Corpus Christi,Texas.  He was buried in Bay View Cemetery,Corpus Christi,TexaS.

‌John Jefferson ,Dr. and Laura were married in a religious ceremony on April 23rd, 1857.  They had five sons and two daughters, named William Henry, Benjamin Thomas, Charles Hardy, John Jefferson ,Jr., Robert Lee, Fannie Mariah and Hattie.
