Nancy Jane was born on June 11th, 1854 in Taylor Co.,Kentucky. Nancy Jane's father was William G. Sprowls and her mother was Sarah Underwood. Her maternal grandfather was William C. Underwood and her maternal grandmother is Mariah J. Druien. She had four brothers and five sisters, named James Marion, William G. , Jr., Robert, John Proctor, Ursula, Maria Elizabeth, Mary, Alice and Ellen. She was the second oldest of the ten children. She died at the age of 83 on September 23rd, 1937 in LaRue Co. Kentucky. She was buried in Corinth Baptist Church Cemetery,LaRue Co.,Kentucky.-
