John Skaggs 
John was born in 1795. John's father was Jeremiah Skaggs and his mother was Hannah Lester. His paternal grandfather was Zachariah Skaggs and his paternal grandmother is Nancy Wilcox. He had a brother and four sisters, named James, Nancy, Martha, Lydia and Hannah. He was the second youngest of the six children. He died at the age of 81 on April 2nd, 1876 in Carter Co.,Kentucky.-
