John Skaggs 
John was born in 1728 in Virginia. John's father was James Skaggs and his mother was Rachel Unknown. His paternal grandparents are Thomas Skaggs and UNKNOWN Unknown. He had six brothers and four sisters, named Moses, James ,Jr., Charles, Aaron, Henry, Richard, Susannah, Nancy, Lydia and Elizabeth. He died at the age of 101 in 1829.
They had three sons and three daughters, named Zachariah, Charles, John ,Jr., Rebecca, Unknown and Rachael.

Zachariah was born in 1746. He died at the age of 72 in 1818 in Russell Co.,Virginia.
John ,Jr. Skaggs
John ,Jr. was born in 1754 in Augusta Co.,Virginia now Monroe Co.,West Virginia. He died at the age of 85 in 1839 in Monroe Co.,West Virginia. He was buried in Old Greenbriar Baptist Church Cemetery,Monroe Co.,West Virginia.
