Charles was born in 1737 in Virginia. Charles' father was James Skaggs and his mother was Rachel Unknown. His paternal grandparents are Thomas Skaggs and UNKNOWN Unknown. He had six brothers and four sisters, named John, Moses, James ,Jr., Aaron, Henry, Richard, Susannah, Nancy, Lydia and Elizabeth. He died at the age of 78 on September 2nd, 1815 in Green Co.,Kentucky.
‌Charles and Lucinda were married in a religious ceremony in 1758 in Nelson Co.,Kentycky. They had five sons and six daughters, named Archibald, Frederick, Thomas Thompson, Moses David, James, Rachel, Nancy, Semy Temperence, Sarah, Mary and Polly.
