Rachel was born on August 31st, 1761. Rachel's father was Charles Skaggs and her mother was Lucinda Thompson. Her paternal grandparents were James Skaggs and Rachel Unknown; her maternal grandparents are John Thompson and Mary Unknown. She had five brothers and five sisters, named Archibald, Frederick, Thomas Thompson, Moses David, James, Nancy, Semy Temperence, Sarah, Mary and Polly. She died at the age of 41 in 1802.-
