Frederick was born on December 11th, 1764 in Virginia. Frederick's father was Charles Skaggs and his mother was Lucinda Thompson. His paternal grandparents were James Skaggs and Rachel Unknown; his maternal grandparents are John Thompson and Mary Unknown. He had four brothers and six sisters, named Archibald, Thomas Thompson, Moses David, James, Rachel, Nancy, Semy Temperence, Sarah, Mary and Polly. He died at the age of 57 on October 7th, 1822 in Hickman,Kentucky.-
