Catherine Howell was born on September 11th, 1895 in Kentucky. Catherine Howell's father was Benjamin Owen Skaggs and her mother was Mary Elizabeth Vance. Her paternal grandfather was John Cannon Skaggs and her paternal grandmother is Lucinda Shofner. She had six brothers named Pleasant Carter, Richard C., James B., Samuel I., Herman Carter and Willie Robert. She had six half-brothers and four half-sisters, named John Benjamin, William Franklin, Robert W., Macklin Elisha, Jefferson Franklin, Alfred Thomas, Mary E., Rutha Jane, Sarah Ann and Mary Loucinda. She died at the age of 83 on August 18th, 1979 in Taylor Co.,Kentucky. She was buried in Poplar Grove Methodist Church Cemetery,Taylor Co.,Kentucky.General Notes
