-- Obituary: Mrs. Florence Beatrice Morris, 85, died at the Weakley County Nursing Home, Saturday, July 22nd. Services were at the Lebanon Church of Christ, Sunday, July 23 at 3:30 p.m. with Bro. Dean Shaw and Joe Walker officiating. Burial was at Lebanon. She leaves three sons, H.O. Morris and Doyle Morris of Dresden and Virgil Morris of Chicago; two daughters, Sula Roper of Ridgely, Tenn and Mary Nell Westbrook of Dresden; twelve grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Pallbearers were: Ronnie Sanderfer, Richard Sanderfer, Jimmy Westbrook, Mike Morris, Ned Morris and Randall Foster. Bowlin Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

--Family lived in the same house on the Palmersville Highway for 58 years and all their children were born there.
-- She was a member of the Lebanon Church of Christ and buried in the cemetery at the church. This church is located about 1/2 mile southeast of her home on the Palmersville Hwy.
-- Dresden Enterprise: "Over 80 Club" - Mr & Mrs William (Doc) Orrell were blessed with a daughter, March 21, 1878, and she was named Florence. They were living in Greenfield when this great occasion occurred. She led a normal life as a child and at the age of 18 was married to Thadius Morris. Out of this marriage six children were born; three girls, Elna Sanderfer, Martin, Sula Roper, Ridgely and Mary Nell Westbrook, Dresden, three boys, Opal Morris, Doyle Morris, Dresden and Virgil Morris, Chicago. She has twelve grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren. She is a member of the Church of Christ, Lebanon and enjoys talking and visiting with friends and neighbors, housekeeping and watching television. For over 50 years she lived on the Palmersville Highway, now her home is on Maple St. where she has lived for five years. Note: They left out Jewell, who died at age 31 in 1937.
--A family reunion was held Sunday at the home of Mrs. Ida Rhodes. This was the first time that all her sisters and brothers had been together since their father died 31 years ago. They spread a wonderful dinner at the noon hour. Those present were M/M Bennie Ford and family; Mrs Lucy Bradbury; M/M Lee bradbury; M/M Ben W. Ford and family; Mrs John Insco; M/M Buddie Jones and family; M/M Thadious Morris and family of Dresden; M/M Earett Orrell and daughter; M/M John Bradbury and family of Sharon; M/M Emmitt Cox and family; Mrs Willis Roney of Memphis; Steve Bradbury; Mrs. Odean Sawyers and son; Mrs Beulah Sims and children; M/M Jewel Clark; Mrs Ida Rhodes; and Henry McCain of Gleason.
