ROBERT SAMPLE , SR was born on September 28th, 1816 in VA.1 ROBERT SAMPLE , SR's father was Richard , Jr. Bradberry and his mother is Martha Unknown. His paternal grandfather was Richard , Sr. Bradberry and his paternal grandmother is Vitha Winney. He had five brothers and two sisters, named John Henry , Sr, James, Richard III, Joseph C., William, Joyce and Susan. He died at the age of 58 on March 20th, 1875 in Weakley Co Tn.1 General Notes

His granddaughter, Florence Orrell Morris, often told her granddaughter, Ann Westbrook "me", that these grandparents were buried under "those" big trees and pointed to trees on the west side of the cemetery (Bradberry Cemetery). The graves were probably marked with a wooden marker or a rock when they died, but there are no signs of them. There is a stone with a similar name and date of birth, but this is an unk person.
A cousin wrote: Parnella kept up with a lot of family history. I had the chance to met her when I was 10 yrs old. She had every kind of antique you could imagine. She never had any children. On her wall hung a picture of two men in uniform; one in Confederate, the other Union. I now know after 30 years one was Josiah Henry Ford and the other was Robert Sample Bradberry. Robert fought for the south and Josiah was for the Union.
