Josiah Henry (Union) was born on December 4th, 1847 in Dresden TN.1 Josiah Henry (Union)'s father was ROBERT SAMPLE , SR BRADBERRY and his mother was BETSY : MARY ELIZABETH FORD. His paternal grandfather was Richard , Jr. Bradberry and his paternal grandmother is Martha Unknown. He had four brothers and five sisters, and also a sibling of unknown gender, named James Richard, John Wesley Sr., George Washington, Robert Sample "Little Bob" , Jr, Nancy Anerliza, MARY CATHERINE, Lizzie : Elizabeth Frances, Judianne America "Juda & Judith Ann", Martha Ellen and Twin. He was the oldest of the eleven children. He died at the age of 58 on December 8th, 1905 in Buried Bradberry Cemetery. With 6th Reg. Co. L Tenn Calv. USA.1 General Notes

His granddaughter wrote: My grandfather Bradberry was the oldest child and I have heard older people tell of how he worked and helped his mother raise the other children and how he studied and went to school when it looked almost impossible. His mother encouraged him on and he got what was called at that time, a very good education. He worked in stores, taught school and had one of the most beautiful penmanship's one ever looked on.

Josiah Henry (Union) and Mary Caroline were married in a religious ceremony on December 19th, 1877.1 They had two sons and seven daughters, named Robert Henderson, John Nelson, Ida, Lillie Mae, Birdanna "Bird", Ada Bertha "Ader", Beulah Etres, Mary Alice "Bess" and Arena Caroline "Rena".
