His paternal grandparents were Arthur ,Jr. Moseley and Sarah Hancock; his maternal grandparents were John Cocke and Obediance Branch. He had six brothers and two sisters, named Arthur ,3rd, John, Richard, William, Thomas, Benjamin, Sarah and Martha. He was the third oldest of the nine children. He had a half-brother and a half-sister, named William and Martha. He died at the age of 90 on September 3rd, 1808 in Charlotte Co.,Virginia.-
