Sarah Hancock 
Sarah was born in 1670 in Lynnhaven Parish,Lower Norfolk,Virginia. Sarah's father was Robert Hancock and her mother was Johan Ligon. Her paternal grandparents are Simon Hancock and Sarah Unknown; her maternal grandparents are Thomas Ligon and Mary Harris. She had three brothers and four sisters, named William, Robert, Robert, Mary, Joan Johannah, Elizabeth and Phoebe. She was the oldest of the eight children. She died at the age of 58 in 1728 in Virginia.
Sarah and Arthur ,Jr. were married in a religious ceremony in October 1688 in St. John's Church. Henrico Co.,Virginia. They had four sons and three daughters, named Arthur , Jr., William, Robert Ligon, Thomas, Mary, Sarah and Judith.
