Joan Johannah Hancock

Joan Johannah was born in 1680 in Henrico Co.,Virginia.  Joan Johannah's father was Robert Hancock and her mother was Johan Ligon.  Her paternal grandparents are Simon Hancock and Sarah Unknown; her maternal grandparents are Thomas Ligon and Mary Harris. She had three brothers and four sisters, named William, Robert, Robert, Sarah, Mary, Elizabeth and Phoebe.  She was the fourth youngest of the eight children.  She died at the age of 64 in 1744.

‌Joan Johannah and Samuel were married in a religious ceremony on April 5th, 1700 in St.John's Church,Henrico,Virginia.
