Mary Hancock

Mary was born in 1672 in Lynnhaven  Parish,Henrico Do.,Virginia.  Mary's father was Robert Hancock and her mother was Johan Ligon.  Her paternal grandparents are Simon Hancock and Sarah Unknown; her maternal grandparents are Thomas Ligon and Mary Harris. She had three brothers and four sisters, named William, Robert, Robert, Sarah, Joan Johannah, Elizabeth and Phoebe.  She is the second oldest of the eight children.

‌Mary and John were married in a religious ceremony in 1690 in Henrico,Virginia.
