Daniel Monroe Luke 
Daniel Monroe was born in December 1875 in Preston,Kemper County,MS.1 Daniel Monroe's father was James Madison Luke and his mother was Nancy Elizabeth Baughman. His paternal grandparents were James R. Luke and Martha Reed?reid; his maternal grandparents were David Baughman and Maria Ann Stephens. He had five brothers and three sisters, named William Claiborne, Walter Ivy "Lish", David Franklin, James Edward, Thomas Wilbur "Monch", Emma Jean, Clara S. and Georgia Ann. He was the third youngest of the nine children. He died at the age of 88 on October 3rd, 1964 in Jacksonville,Duval County,FL. He was buried in Lakewood Cemetery,Jackson,Hinds County,MS.-
