Clara S. was born on December 5th, 1869 in Preston,Kemper County,MS. Clara S.'s father was James Madison Luke and her mother was Nancy Elizabeth Baughman. Her paternal grandparents were James R. Luke and Martha Reed?reid; her maternal grandparents were David Baughman and Maria Ann Stephens. She had six brothers and two sisters, named William Claiborne, Walter Ivy "Lish", David Franklin, James Edward, Daniel Monroe, Thomas Wilbur "Monch", Emma Jean and Georgia Ann. She was the fifth oldest of the nine children. She died at the age of 84 on April 24th, 1954. She was buried in Cedarlawn Cemetery,Neshoba County,MS.-
