Christopher Columbus was born in ,Kemper County,MS.  Christopher Columbus' father was James R. Luke and his mother was Martha Reed?reid.  His paternal grandparents are Mr. Luke and Miss UNKNOWN; his maternal grandparents were James Reed?reid and Mary or Sarah ?????. He had seven brothers and three sisters, named James Madison, Augustus L., John Buchanan, Allen Verdell, Daniel "Dock", Jackson Thomas, William Monroe, Mary Ann, Sarah and Martha.  He died on June 5th, 1914 in ,Winston County,MS.  He was buried in Old Mt. Hebron,Winston County,MS.
