Joseph Merritt Hill 
Joseph Merritt was born on October 18th, 1888. Joseph Merritt's father is Augustus Abner Hill and his mother was Martha Jane Keahey. His maternal grandparents were George Pleasant Keahey and Susan Berry. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Pleasant A., Verdia Little, Eval Garland, William Edward, Mary, May, June E. and Effie M.. He was the oldest of the nine children. He died at the age of 15 on July 26th, 1904.-
