Nancy was born in 1757 in Wilkes County,NC. Nancy's father was William Gilreath and her mother was Mary Arrington. Her paternal grandfather was Alexander Gilreath; her maternal grandparents are Arthur Arrington and Mary Sandifur. She had five brothers and two sisters, named John, William , Jr., Alexander, Jesse, George, Sarah and Mary. She had three half-brothers named John, John and Archibald. She died about 1821 in Whitley County,KY.-
