Lucy Ann was born in 1844 in Green Co.,Kentucky. Lucy Ann's father is Andrew Drury DeSpain and her mother was Nancy Skaggs. Her paternal grandparents were Peter DeSpain and Nancy Skaggs; her maternal grandparents were Richard Skaggs and Jincy Jane Martin. She had a brother and four sisters, named William, Martha Jane, Celia, Mary Francis and Caroline. She died at the age of 52 in 1896 in Kentucky.-
