William Woodward 
William was born about 1707 in West Bradford, Chester County, Pennsylvania. William's father was Richard Woodward and his mother was Deborah Stanfield. His paternal grandparents were Richard Woodward and Jane Petty Nayle; his maternal grandparents were Francis Stanfield and Grace Achelly. He had a brother and seven sisters, named James, Deborah, Sarah, Jane, Elizabeth, Hannah, Mary and Grace. He is the fourth oldest of the nine children. He had seven half-brothers and five half-sisters, named Henry, John, Richard, Thomas, Richard, John, William, Mary, Alice, Deborah, Susanna and Esther.-
