Richard Skidmore 
Richard was born about 1760. Richard's father was Joseph Skidmore and his mother was Elizabeth Phares. His paternal grandparents were Joseph Skidmore and Agnes Anne Caldwell; his maternal grandparents were John Phares and Agnes Margaret Johnson. He had four brothers and five sisters, named Samuel, John, Joseph, James, Catherine, Ann, Elizabeth, Sarah and Barbara. He is the oldest of the ten children.-
