Barbara Skidmore 
Barbara was born about 1779 in Virginia. Barbara's father was Joseph Skidmore and her mother was Elizabeth Phares. Her paternal grandparents were Joseph Skidmore and Agnes Anne Caldwell; her maternal grandparents were John Phares and Agnes Margaret Johnson. She had five brothers and four sisters, named Richard, Samuel, John, Joseph, James, Catherine, Ann, Elizabeth and Sarah. She is the third youngest of the ten children.-
