Robert Shipley 
Robert was born on September 10th, 1737 in Queen Caroline Parish, Anne Arundel County, Maryland. Robert's father was Robert Jr. Shipley and his mother was Sarah Rachel Dorsey. His paternal grandparents were Robert Shipley and Elizabeth Stevens. He had two brothers and seven sisters, named Edward, George, Rachel, Nancy, Ann, Naomi, Mary, Margaret and Lucy. He was the second oldest of the ten children. He died at the age of 73 in 1810 in Halifax County, Virginia.General Notes
