Mary C. was born about 1859 in Kanawha County, West Virginia. Mary C.'s father was Henderson Shaver and her mother was Alicianna Blackshire. Her paternal grandparents were John David Shaver and Mary Parsons. She had three brothers and three sisters, named Henry F., Albert Henderson, Edward James, Julia Ann, Rebecca and Louisa. She had two half-brothers and a half-sister, named William F., Charles Estil and Mahala E.. She died after 1881.-
