John A. Shaver 
John A. was born about 1851 in Roane County, West Virginia. John A.'s father was Henry S. Shaver and his mother was Rebecca Steed Neslrod Barnhart. His paternal grandparents were John David Shaver and Mary Parsons. He had two brothers and three sisters, named Martin Henry, Henderson, Hannah, Elizabeth and Amanda J.. He was the third oldest of the six children. He died on December 6th, 1890.General Notes
