Amanda J. was born about 1855. Amanda J.'s father was Henry S. Shaver and her mother was Rebecca Steed Neslrod Barnhart. Her paternal grandparents were John David Shaver and Mary Parsons. She had three brothers and two sisters, named John A., Martin Henry, Henderson, Hannah and Elizabeth. She is the third youngest of the six children.General Notes
