Samuel Vincent Shafer 
Samuel Vincent was born in November 1898. Samuel Vincent's father was Ulysses Samuel Shafer and his mother was Cora Belle Vineyard. His paternal grandparents were Samuel L. Shaver and Sarah Jane Kiser. He had three brothers and a sister, named Homer, Rome, James Howard and Lola. He is the second youngest of the five children.-
