Melvin Julius Qualley 
Melvin Julius was born on February 11th, 1889 in Kindred, Davenport Township, Cass County, North Dakota. Melvin Julius' father was Ole Olson Qualley and his mother was Jensina Halvorsdotter Lee. His paternal grandparents were Ole Olson England and Anna Olsdotter Qualey. He had four brothers and four sisters, named Jens Olson, Herman Gustav, Oscar, Gillrock A., Dorothea Olsdotter, Elsie Anna, Josephine and Olga. He was the fourth youngest of the nine children. He died at the age of 71 on February 29th, 1960 in Erskin, Polk County, Minnesota.-
