Levi McDowell

Levi was born in 1835 in Pike County, Ohio. Levi's father was James M. McDowell and his mother was Eliza Daniels. His paternal grandparents were John McDowell and Catherine Hayes; his maternal grandmother was Vera la Vellier. He had two brothers and six sisters, named Allen Benton, John Daniels, Sarah Ann, Lucinda, Susan Ann, Lydia Ellen, Mahalia and Mary Jane. He died at the age of 28 on August 1st, 1863 in Illinois or while serving in the Civil War.
