Bethel Brooke Gilkerson 
Bethel Brooke was born in 1902. Bethel Brooke's father was James Madison Gilkerson and her mother was Edna Malvern Johnson. Her paternal grandparents were Robert Shanklin Gilkerson and Elizabeth Ellen Kincaid; her maternal grandparents were Andrew Lewis Johnson and Martha Ellen Meadows. She had four brothers and three sisters, named Ernest Everett, Andrew Jennings, James Edward, Infant Boy, Bertha Malvern, Annie Lewis and Martha Florence. She was the third oldest of the eight children. She died at the age of 74 in 1976.-
